Response Herald’s Convention Centre Article

As Immediate Past President of MPI, I was interviewed by the Herald in response to a new article published in the Wall Street Journal talking about the decline of the industry in the US marketplace.  This led to more discussion about the approved investment in our new convention centre and unfortunately, generated more negative discussion.

I encourage all MPI members to voice positive messages whenever the opportunity presents itself.  There are many opinions, most of them uninformed but we have great confidence in our support of the new facility, confidence that is backed by MPI Canada research, a business case and financial support from all three levels of government.
